My zine is about different nightmares that happen all in one night. My original idea was similar but was slightly different, I was going to make a relatable zine that highlighted one of those nights where you don’t sleep. My zine ended up evolving into a nightmare. I changed it because I thought it allowed for more creativity and was more unique. I picked these nightmares because after talking to a few of my friends I found these to be the most common and the most anxiety-provoking ones. My zine used a few words mainly thought bubbles, thinking back I wish I had done away with them entirely. I don’t think it added any substance to my work I actually think it made

my piece weak because I relied on those words to tell my story rather than my art. The bulk of my zine was animated with the exception of my front and back cover. I think it adds to the dream that it is all animated but I think it would have shown my skills better if I had incorporated real pictures too. I really liked my idea for this project, I was able to use my imagination and be as creative as I wanted. I loved how open-ended this project was and It was so cool seeing how different every person was.

here are some of my zines when i was working on them. Most of these did not make it into the final piece!
